What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapists support people to participate in activities they need and want to do. For children, meaningful occupations may include (but are definitely not limited to!) play, participating in the classroom, learning, getting dressed, brushing their teeth, going to the toilet, making and keeping friends or riding a bike.

Occupational Therapists support participation in meaningful occupations by working with the child and family to develop skills, such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, regulation or cognitive skills. We also explore how the occupation or environment can be modified to support participation.
